| Today’s
Fallacy of Daniel’s 70th week |
What
you are reading at this time you will probably never
read anywhere else. You are not going to find the
same rhetorical, mundane, jargon that you’ve
heard all your life about the seventieth week of
Daniel. Here at the Voice of Evangelism we cut through
the chase and get right to the meat of God’s
word. We read in Daniel 9:25-27, “Know therefore
and understand, that from the going forth of the
commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto
the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and
threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built
again, and the wall even in troublous times. And
after threescore and two weeks (69 Weeks) shall
Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the
people of the prince that shall come shall destory
the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof
shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war
desolations are determined. And he shall confirm
the covenant with many for one week: and in the
midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and
the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading
of abominations he shall make it desolate, even
unto the consummation, and that determined shall
be poured upon the desolate”. When we look
back at verse 26 we read and after three score and
two weeks, we all know that when you add the first
seven weeks to the sixty-two weeks you then have
sixty-nine weeks. Having established that point
we need to realize that what Daniel was actually
saying was after 69 weeks Messiah would be cut off.
Daniel did use the phrase, (and after) the truth
is if Jesus, the Messiah was cut off after 69 weeks
we need to understand that he Messiah went into
Daniel’s seventy week. If I were to say to
you that you can only come and visit with me after
the 69th day of the year then the earliest that
you could come and visit with me would be on the
seventieth day, which would be after the 69th day.
If we look at all the Bible references we will see
that there are no seven year periods to align with
this false teaching regarding the seventieth week
of Daniel that is espoused today meaning that there
is still one full week to be full filled. That is
not to say at some point and time the anti-christ
will confirm a covenant with Israel for one week.
It is when the abomination of Desolation takes place
that the anti-christ will be revealed for who he
really is. This Revelation is for the church: thus
three times in 2nd Thessalonians Chapter two, we
find three references to his Revelation or to him
being revealed, see 2nd Thessalonians 2:3, (revealed),
2nd Thessalonians 2:6 (revealed), 2nd Thessalonians
2:8 (revealed). Now I want to share with you all
the locations in the Bible of the true number of
years regarding the reign of the anti-christ. First
let me say as most scholars know and that is the
ministry of Jesus Christ was only 3 &1/2 years.
That is why the anti-christ will only get 3 &
½ years for Jesus himself already got the
first half of Daniel’s seventieth week. Remember
it is after 69 weeks that Messiah is cut off. Thus
Jesus went into the first half of Daniel’s
70th week. Please read Daniel 7;25, Daniel 12:7,
Revelation 11:2, Revelation 12:6, Revelation 12:14,
Revelation 13:5. Needless to say there are seven
scriptures that speak of only a 3 &1/2 year
period. |
